Deposit

A deposit turns ETH on Robinhood Chain into shielded ZEC in your ZATS Market account. You send the ETH to a one-time address, from any wallet or exchange or from the account's own ETH. The ZEC lands in Ironwood, the shielded pool the app spends from.

• You need an account in this browser, unlocked. The app asks you to unlock it before money moves in or out.
• You need ETH on Robinhood Chain, in a wallet or exchange that can send it, or in the account itself.

Open a one-time addressCopy Anchor Link

A one-time address takes the ETH for one deposit only. The app never hands out the account's own address for a deposit.

Send the ETHCopy Anchor Link

The Send step shows the exact amount, the one-time address with its QR code, and a deadline under Open until.

1. Copy the amount with its Copy button, for a wallet or exchange that asks you to type it.
2. Copy the address, or scan the QR code.
3. From your wallet or exchange, send exactly that amount of ETH to the address, on Robinhood Chain.
4. Wait for the payment. The page shows Waiting for your ETH until the app sees it.

You can leave the page while you wait. Transactions lists the deposit as Waiting for payment. If the address closes before you pay, the page says so: get a new address before you send.

If the account holds enough ETH on Robinhood Chain for the amount and its gas, the Send step also offers Or pay from this account.

1. Select Pay from this account.
2. Type your password.
3. Select the Pay button, which shows the amount.

Your password signs one transfer of exactly this amount to the one-time address.

The one-time address handles a wrong amount by itself.

• Less than the amount comes back to your account, as ETH on Robinhood Chain.
• More than the amount: the conversion turns all of it into ZEC.

A refund goes to your account's own address, never to the wallet or exchange you sent from.

Change the amountCopy Anchor Link

While a deposit's one-time address is unpaid, you can cancel it and choose another amount.

1. On the Send step, select Change amount.
2. Select Yes, change amount. Keep this address cancels.

The app closes the address and goes back to the Amount step, with the old amount filled in. Once the app sees a payment to the address, you can no longer cancel it.

Once the app sees your payment, the tracker takes the place of the address, and the stepper moves to Track. The tracker is the panel that follows a deposit step by step.

• The steps run from ETH received to In your Ironwood balance. The working step says how long it usually takes.
• The wait clock shows how long you have waited and how long a deposit usually takes.
• You can leave the page. The app follows the deposit on any page, even while the account is locked, and Transactions shows where it stands.
• When the deposit is done, the ZEC shows in your Ironwood balance on the next read.

If a step failsCopy Anchor Link

If a step of the conversion cannot complete, the money comes back to your account. The tracker then shows Refunded to your account.

• A deposit's refund comes back as ETH on Robinhood Chain, to the account's own address.
• No word from the rail means the conversion has not reported for a long time. The on-chain transactions on the page show what the chain holds.

Part of a refund can stay on the other side of the bridge. The tracker then offers Bring it home:

1. Select Bring it home.
2. Type your password. It signs one transaction.
3. Select Bring it home again.

A refund brought home is a transaction of its own. Transactions lists it with the deposits.

Receive ZEC from another Zcash walletCopy Anchor Link

You do not need a deposit to add ZEC. Any Zcash wallet can send ZEC to the account directly.

1. On the Account page, open Every Zcash address in the Receive panel.
2. Copy the Ironwood address.
3. Send ZEC to it from your Zcash wallet.

The ZEC shows in your Ironwood balance once the scan reaches its block. The unified address also takes ZEC, but the sender's wallet picks the pool. The app shows ZEC that lands in Sapling or at the transparent address, but it cannot spend that ZEC today.
