Balances and addresses
The total in dollars, each asset and Zcash pool, what the zZEC rewards row means, and where your account receives ZEC and ETH.
The Account page shows what your ZATS Market account holds and where it receives money. Unlock the account to see it. Ironwood, the newest shielded pool of Zcash, is the only pool the app spends from.
The total balance
The total card at the top of the Account page adds up everything the account holds, in dollars.
- Total balance is the sum of every asset at current rates.
- By chain splits the total between Zcash and Robinhood Chain, as a bar with percentages.
- A line under the split names the source of the rates and their time. The app values zZEC at the ZEC rate.
- Deposit and Withdraw start a transfer. Lock locks the account.
Two messages can take the place of the rates line:

The balances list
The Balances panel lists each asset with its amount and its value in dollars.

A value the app is still reading shows Reading. A value it could not read shows Not readable right now. While the account is unlocked, the top bar shows the ZEC the account holds, with every pool together.
How the app reads shielded balances
The app reads Ironwood and Sapling by scanning the Zcash chain in your browser. ZATS's server passes the blocks to your browser, and your browser decrypts them. The server learns the account's transparent address and which blocks the app fetches. It never sees a key or a shielded balance.
- The last line of the Balances panel shows the scan, first Scanning blocks with a count, then Scanned to block with the block number.
- An account that scanned before shows its last saved balance at once, while the scan catches up.
- The scan runs again while the account is unlocked. If it stops, it tries again in a few minutes and on the next unlock.
- An account imported from typed words scans from the NU6.3 upgrade on. Shielded ZEC older than that does not count, and Orchard shows Not scanned. An account imported from its recovery sheet scans from the day you made the account.
Which pool pays
Ironwood is the only pool the app spends from. Every purchase and every withdrawal pays from Ironwood, and every deposit lands there.

ZEC in Sapling or at the transparent address stays where it is. Your recovery phrase, the twelve words that are your account, also restores these addresses in a Zcash wallet app that takes a twelve-word phrase.
The rewards row
The Rewards row shows the zZEC that this account's own Robinhood Chain address holds. It counts zZEC v1 and v2 together.
- The $ZATS payout goes to the wallet that holds the $ZATS. It shows in this row only when the $ZATS sits at this account's own address.
- The app does not take zZEC as payment. To spend zZEC in the app, swap it for ETH on Robinhood Chain, then deposit the ETH.

Receive
The Receive panel shows the addresses that take money into the account.
- ZEC shows the unified address. Any Zcash wallet can pay it, and the ZEC lands shielded when the sender can shield it.
- ETH on Robinhood Chain shows the account's own address, with Explorer to open it on a block explorer. ETH sent there stays ETH. To turn it into shielded ZEC, open a deposit and select Pay from this account.
- Every Zcash address opens the Ironwood, Sapling and transparent addresses, each with Copy. The panel names Orchard with no address.
Receive ZEC that the app can spend
To receive ZEC that the app can spend, give the sender your Ironwood address. Find it under Every Zcash address in the Receive panel.
The unified address also takes ZEC, but the sender's wallet picks the pool. A wallet without shielding support pays the transparent receiver. The app does not spend Sapling or transparent ZEC today.
