How the payout works

Who is paid zZEC for holding $ZATS, how each share is counted, and when it is sent to your wallet.

Hold $ZATS and zZEC lands in your wallet. You do not claim it, connect anything or sign anything. A contract on Robinhood Chain, the distributor, counts every share and sends it.

Where the zZEC comes from

Every $ZATS trade leaves a small fee. The fees buy zZEC, and the zZEC goes into the distributor. From there, only the distributor's own rules decide who receives it. Once zZEC is in the distributor, not even the team can take it out or send it anywhere else.

Who is paid

You are paid when all of these are true:

  • Your wallet holds at least $50 of $ZATS.
  • It has held that much for 15 minutes without a gap.
  • Your wallet is a wallet: an address with no contract code. Pools, routers, the Pons contracts, the distributor itself and the burn address never earn. A smart-contract wallet, such as a Safe, does not earn either. An account with an EIP-7702 delegation counts as a wallet.

The minimum is kept in $ZATS near $50, set from the token's price. If the price moves, the minimum for new holders moves with it. Once you are counted, you keep earning at the minimum you joined with, or at any lower one set since.

How your share is counted

  • zZEC sent to the distributor is shared out evenly over the next 24 hours. Each new deposit starts the period again, with everything not yet shared.
  • Your share of each moment is your $ZATS balance divided by all counted balances. Hold more and your share is larger.
  • If you sell, you are counted at the lower of the balance you were counted with and the balance you hold now. What you no longer earn goes back to the other holders.
  • If you sell below the minimum, you leave. You are still sent what you earned before you left.

The contract computes every amount on chain. Nobody types in an amount, and no function sends zZEC anywhere except to the wallet that earned it.

When your share is sent

Your share builds up as credit in the distributor. It is sent once it is worth 20x the gas of one transfer. Gas therefore stays at or under 5% of every payment you receive.

  • There is no fixed schedule. Payments land at irregular times.
  • The more you hold, the faster your credit grows and the more often it lands.
  • While there is no zZEC to share, nothing is sent. Credit you already earned stays yours.

The welcome payout

Hold the minimum

Buy and hold at least $50 of $ZATS.

Wait out the hold time

Keep it for 15 minutes. If you sell below the minimum before then, you start again.

Receive your first zZEC

Your first payment goes out in the next batch, whatever your credit is. While the welcome budget lasts, a bonus of $0.25 in zZEC comes with it. The bonus is paid once per wallet, from a separate budget, never from the holders' share.

Where the payout lands

The payout goes to the address that holds the $ZATS, on Robinhood Chain. It never goes to a ZATS Market account unless that same address holds the $ZATS. To see it, open your wallet on Robinhood Chain and look for zZEC. Some wallets need the zZEC contract added first; its address is on the contracts page.

Who runs it

A program sends the batches and keeps the minimum near $50. It holds a limited role in the distributor:

  • It can lower the minimum at any time.
  • It can raise the minimum, but at most to double in a day, never above 1% of the supply, and for new holders only.
  • It can spend the welcome budget.

It cannot touch the holders' zZEC, choose an amount or drop a counted holder. The distributor has no owner. It cannot be paused, upgraded or changed. Anyone can call the functions that count balances and send payments, so payouts do not depend on that program.

A payment that your address refuses does not stop the batch. Your credit stays in the distributor until a later payment goes through.
